Mann Hann

And one of our favorite mall-based restaurants is Mann Hann.  We like it for their unpretentious Chinese dishes with Pinoy taste and their casual and never intimidating ambiance. I really like it a lot and recommend it without reservations. We first noticed at when we saw it was the almost the only restaurant in SM North and Trinoma mall and the Mall of Asia that always has a line at lunch time so we decided to try it.

Mann Hann is a great restaurant, its prices do not do it justice since their servings are so many. Most meals range from 200-300 but serving size is already good for 3-4.

Sweet and Sour Pork here is wonderful. We also both like the Wanton Soup just the thing on a colder rainy day to warm you up. The Lechon Macau Hotspot is delicious with some very well cooked tofu also. The beef brisket is good also. The roast chicken was ok but you can get better chicken elsewhere.

Sweet and sour fish fillet. The taste is usual sweet and sour with usual veggies but the quality of the fish isn't. My spoon literally just went through one of these things, it's that soft! I liked this dish so much that I put it literally beside my plate so I’m the only one eating it. Brocolli Beef Garden. Oh my god, the brocolli was so soft! The sauce went well with the beef. And the beef was juicy and did not taste too overpowering; it blended well with everything in the dish.

Now this I highly recommend. Mann Hann serves one of the best Yang Chow fried rice I,ve had so far.   Its not too oily with abundant toppings of meat, egg and spring onions.  The nephew loves this to bits and usually eats it as is, even without any type of accompanying viand.

The only negative thing that I have noticed about Mann Hann is the staff. They kept us waiting for how many minutes, I don’t know. One of the staff even gave me a hand sign to wait, which I think is not necessary if you are a customer and he is the servant. Very impolite. And they weren’t smiling.
