Chilli´s Bar and Grill

Dining in Chili's Tomas Morato was a blast! Food was so yummy. We ordered chicken crispers (the cheapest chicken in their menu). This is really value for your money because its so yummy and price is cheap. I ordred for Country Fried-chicken. This is the best! the sauce on top of the chicken taste so good. Their mashed potato is a must try. It's one of the best mashed potato I ever tasted.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. They serve great food. I love their menu and their entrees are the best. I love their chicken and nachos, everything actually. They have a cool place and interior as well. You have to see it for yourself. When it comes to their meal prices, I would say it is worth it because they've got big servings and their food is undeniably delicious. This is a must try.

If you like western food with huge servings, chilis is one place you should try. From fries, to tacos, to salads, to burgers, to ribs and to steaks you will definitely enjoy stuffing yourself. My first impression of chilis is that they serve spicy food, but don’t let their logo turn you down if you dont like spicy food, you can try to order something less spicy or non-spicy at all. Chili’s offer mexican-american food.

We ordered the Fajita Nachos Combo, this was absolutely fantastic! Buffalo wings is amazing. It was juicy, tasty and yummy. Just having an appetizer, we were already full. The place was cozy, has a separate room for non smokers and smokers. Chili's is the place to be if you want good food and relaxation!

One of my favorites is the Half Rack Baby Back Ribs This dish is served with your choice of sidings. Some of the choices are corn on a cob, plain rice, chilis rice, mashed potato and  french fries. The chilis rice is like java rice, it is tasty but the texture of the rice is a bit hard. As for the ribs, the meat is tender, easily loose from the bones, the barbecue sauce was even and the meat is very tasty. It is best consumed when served hot. This is highly recommended for ribs lovers.

Mann Hann

And one of our favorite mall-based restaurants is Mann Hann.  We like it for their unpretentious Chinese dishes with Pinoy taste and their casual and never intimidating ambiance. I really like it a lot and recommend it without reservations. We first noticed at when we saw it was the almost the only restaurant in SM North and Trinoma mall and the Mall of Asia that always has a line at lunch time so we decided to try it.

Mann Hann is a great restaurant, its prices do not do it justice since their servings are so many. Most meals range from 200-300 but serving size is already good for 3-4.

Sweet and Sour Pork here is wonderful. We also both like the Wanton Soup just the thing on a colder rainy day to warm you up. The Lechon Macau Hotspot is delicious with some very well cooked tofu also. The beef brisket is good also. The roast chicken was ok but you can get better chicken elsewhere.

Sweet and sour fish fillet. The taste is usual sweet and sour with usual veggies but the quality of the fish isn't. My spoon literally just went through one of these things, it's that soft! I liked this dish so much that I put it literally beside my plate so I’m the only one eating it. Brocolli Beef Garden. Oh my god, the brocolli was so soft! The sauce went well with the beef. And the beef was juicy and did not taste too overpowering; it blended well with everything in the dish.

Now this I highly recommend. Mann Hann serves one of the best Yang Chow fried rice I,ve had so far.   Its not too oily with abundant toppings of meat, egg and spring onions.  The nephew loves this to bits and usually eats it as is, even without any type of accompanying viand.

The only negative thing that I have noticed about Mann Hann is the staff. They kept us waiting for how many minutes, I don’t know. One of the staff even gave me a hand sign to wait, which I think is not necessary if you are a customer and he is the servant. Very impolite. And they weren’t smiling.

Racks

Definitely, this restaurants tops the list of my favorite restaurants.

Racks's ribs are very different from the traditional ribs we often see at other restaurants. Often times, ribs come with the bone and have very small portions of meat. Racks' servings, however, have a lot more meat in them and are still very soft and do actually fall off the bone. Their specialty sauces provide good topping onto their ribs, with a choice of normal or spicy, depending on your preference for heat. The Beef Ribs (Quarter Rack) plate includes a quarter portion of beef ribs, with vegetables on the side, plus a small portion of side dish.

Every visit here was a blast because they have a great service especially their super accommodating waiters & waitress. Racks Baby Back Ribs was so great and succulent I cant stop my self munching. You probably need more rice for every grilled meat they served.

The restaurant's ambiance is also nice. Simple, clean, and neat, with natural light from the outside during lunchtime.

The service was good. The waitresses were very attentive. The place was clean. The price is within the right range. Ribs are really pricey but I guess that is expected. The food is definitely worth the wait.
I highly recommend this restaurant a lot, you better try it guys!!.

Johnny Rockets

It was our 2nd time to go to Johnny Rockets Tomas Morato and I always have the same great experience! The hi's and hello's, smiling faces of people around you, the feel of just being in a party and being entertained the great service, non stop refills, and music are all so fun to watch.

The place was brightly lit and bold enough to use a lot of white in their déco, it made the place stand out at night and it looked squeaky clean. Per every table you´ll find a jukebox where u can select a song that u wanna play on the restaurant for just a peso, quite cool.

Their patties are just the tastiest and juciest I ever had, you get to taste the natural "beefiness" minus the extenders or messy sauces. The price was on the high end side but I guess, you get what you pay for. I could tell that they were using fresh beef instead of frozen. The lettuce portion was generous and I liked the thick fries they used. They weren’t potato chip-like. My personal favorite is the unlimited fries, its so filling and will definitely make your money´s worth

We will definitely come back for more!

Brothers Burger

If you have an urge to have a burger this big, fat, juicy and delicious, have a Brother’s Burger.

Brother's Burger is perhaps one of the best food success stories we have in the Philippines. From a single burger outlet, they grown into a a nationwide franchise that has gotten the other fast food giants to stand up and take notice.

The concept of Brothers Burgers is simple enough - "Burgers by design". You are given the power to choose what else you want on your burger, apart from the meat and the bun. Your choices range from Cilantro Cream, Cream Cheese with Garlic, Sauteed Onions, Sauteed Mushrooms, and Bacon.

The burger was sooooo juicy. I love how the beef patty’s well cooked. The veggies inside are so fresh, hence, it is crunchy! The cheese is, well, cheesy! The beef patty matches the ketchup and mayo perfectly! I also like the bun that they use. The bun in itself is very flavorful.

If you visit brother’s burger, do not forget to order the onion rings. It was delicious all the same, with the rings itself being really big and fat, and coated just enough to give it a delicious crunch without losing the taste of the onion.

As much as I enjoyed the food, I do feel that it's a tad bit pricey. I shelled out P800 bucks for two (although rather excellent) burgers with a few add-ons, two drinks, and an order of onion rings.  Looking around me, it was obvious that the ambiance wasn't included in the price tag,  the place could use a touching up or two.

You know what Brothers Burger lacks? A more concise menu. Yes they have the menu posted up on the sign, but there's no description in it for the burgers. Not to mention, there are pictures of different burgers all over the walls, that aren't in the main menu.

Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes

It’s a wonder how Banapple was able to capture the hearts (and stomachs of course) of many people in its three years of existence. I have always believe in the saying that big things comes in small package. Banapple is a good example if we talk about food establishments.  You got Php 200 in your wallet? How about a steak meal and cake for dessert? They also have pastas that taste double their price.

But of course, you go to Banapple for their cakes. Hands-down, the Banoffee Pie is the best one I've ever had. Just have a little patience because it's so tiny that it can only seat less than 25 customers at a time, tops. If you have the patience to wait, the treat that follows is definitely worth it. Everything baked was just lovely.
The thing that i'm not so happy about is that they have really small round coffee tables but have large serving plates.

I love their hickory smoked country ribs, lasagna roll ups .. and of course, the banoffe pie :)

Hickory Smoked Country Rib yum yum!!

Mr Kebab, West Ave, Manila

If you're on a budget and want to try Mediterranean Food, then set a date to check out Mister Kabab at Tomas Morato, Quezon City or head to their other branches in UP-Ayala Technohub and Ortigas. Your Php 100.00 - 250.00 will surely make you one satisfied camper here with a yummy meal, drinks, and perhaps a dessert (depending on the main dish you order). You can choose from several vegetable, beef, lamb, and seafood dishes here. There's also the all-time favorite Shawarma served on a plate as well as Kababs :-)

My personal favorite is their Chicken Korma
paired with their yummy Yogurt Shake

Mister Kabab's Shawarma (on a plate) is pretty good too... Be sure to add hot sauce and garlic sauce!

They also offer other dishes if you're not a big fan of spices...
but what's the use of going to Mister Kabab if you'll be afraid to try their best-sellers right?

Tip: This place gets packed on weekends, especially during the peak hours of dinner... Try to get there early if you're not a fan of loooooong waits.

Must-try: Chicken Korma, Yogurt Shake, Lamb Korma... Mmmm! :-)

Will probably go back on a weekday for lunch... weekend dinners here are way too stressful for me.. haha :-)

I definatly reccomend this place if you want affordable and averagely-good, simple Mediterranean fare, this is the place to try...

Don't Expect:
> ... an airconditioned restaurant - they have lots of ceiling fans though...
> ... the really fancy, perfectly exotic and strong flavors you find in dishes offered by more expensive Mediterranean restaurants. Remember, the dishes here are pretty affordable, so don't demand fancy-shmansy or really authentic spices in your meal.

The Real Thing Diner, Tomas Morato, Manila

Coca Cola,  This is everybody’s favorite soda and has been a part of our lives ever since.

the first thing that you notice when you walk in is red and white everywhere. the restaurant is located on the second level of IL Terrazo building in Tomas Morato. You'll never think twice that everything here is Coca Cola inspired, from every single piece within the restaurant - all are memorabilia from COKE!

But to know the restaurant more, The Real Thing Diner is not actually a Coca Cola company and even not connected with the soda producer. Every single piece up to the tableware is coke-inspired product.

And what's more amazing with this casual dining restaurant? most dishes are cooked with Coke as well! all are great and delicious and definitely "the real thing" to try and enjoy! =)

My personal favorite is the coke fish and chip which tastes great. The fish batter included coke, which made it taste like nothing i ever tasted before ;)
